Our team represents a diverse tapestry of backgrounds and experiences, each member bringing her unique perspective, writer's voice, and expertise to our community. United by our love for Jesus and belief in the Bible as a timeless source of wisdom and guidance for every season of life, we are dedicated to helping women deepen their understanding of Scripture and grow in their relationship with God.

Tara Borgonah is the founder and visionary behind The Girl Read Your Bible Study Group. A former religious cult member made whole in Christ, Tara is passionate about helping others discover the joy and freedom found in Jesus. Her enthusiasm for the Bible shines through in the GRYBSG, where she creates engaging faith-based content and resources that inspire others to deepen their faith and experience the Bible's transformative power in their lives. As the leader of the GRYBSG, she is dedicated to providing a supportive and encouraging environment where women can learn and grow together in their faith and understanding of God's Word. Tara and her husband, Darryl, live in Central Texas with their two sons. A self-proclaimed master gluten-free baker, she enjoys experimenting with new recipes, embarking on camping adventures, and savoring a good cup of coffee with friends.

Dr. Sandra Duclos is a clinical psychologist who retired from her private practice of over twenty-five years. She has always loved writing, even as a child. Among her publications are a poem, several professional papers based on her original research on the self-determination of emotional experience, and a novel based on her true story of growing up in foster care. As a retiree, she now freelances as a book editor for two publishers and volunteers as lead editor for the GRYBSG. Sandra lives in Rhode Island with her husband and takes great pleasure in being a wife, mother, and grandmother (Nonna) to two teenagers. But her greatest joy and blessing are her Christian faith and love for Jesus.

Jen Roland is a writer, speaker, board-certified Christian mental health coach, and women's ministry leader with a passion for walking alongside others toward healing and wholeness. She helps others implement positive lifestyle practices for their mind, body, and soul while developing a deeper relationship with God. Since her neuropathy diagnosis, Jen has focused her ministry on serving those with chronic pain and illness. Jen lives in Woodbine, MD, with her husband and three children.

Whether through speaking, teaching Bible studies, or writing devotionals and other Christ-centered resources, Cara Blondo is passionate about helping women connect biblical truths to their daily lives, knowing personally of the Bible's transforming power through her healing from a years-long battle with an eating disorder. Through her blog and podcast, Perspective Shifts, she aims to help women shift their perspective and come to know Christ as their “one thing desired” (Psalm 27:4). She and her husband have been married for more than twenty years and are blessed to have four children.

Susan Davidson is a freedom-from-striving pursuer and sharer of encouragement enthusiast. She loves sipping on her favorite coffee, going for dog walks in the park, and enjoying scenic mountain views in the small town she calls home. She is a devotional writer featured in Clear Mind, Peaceful Heart: 50 Devotions for Sleeping Well in a World Full of Worry, and a COMPEL PRO Writers volunteer. When she is not spending time with her family and friends, you will find her sharing words to encourage others on her blog and Facebook.

Mary Folkerts is mom to four grown kids and wife to a farmer, living on the southern prairies of Alberta, Canada. She is a contributing author in one of Lisa Terkeurst's latest devotionals, "Clear mind, peaceful heart." She writes with a desire to push back the dark, especially for those struggling with anxiety and depression. Mary is also an advocate for those with Down Syndrome, as their youngest child introduced them to this extraordinary new world.

Meet Kathleen Knapp, a Christian author and blogger living in Western Canada with her husband, son, and their silly cat, Houdini. Her writing journey began after the passing of her special needs son, Benjamin. A retired nurse with a heart for connecting with and supporting others who are grieving, Kathleen finds joy in the simple things, like a good cup of coffee, a piece of chocolate, and singing her heart out. Lately, she's also discovered a love for pickleball! Kathleen has published two devotional books and created four journals, sharing her journey and faith with others. She is currently working on a children's book and a creative nonfiction

book about her son's life.

Originally from the wooded East, Theresa now resides in the wide-open spaces of Wyoming. Nestled near the Big Horn Mountains, she cherishes her role as a wife to Rob and mother to their four children. Weaving words has been her creative outlet since childhood, bringing clarity to life’s complexities. Theresa actively serves in women’s ministries as a Bible teacher and a MomCo Mentor in her community. Additionally, she is a COMPEL Pro member and leader of the COMPEL Bible Study Writing Focus Group. She is co-founder of Dandelions, Potholes, & Wrinkles and The Sisters on Purpose Podcast. In July 2025, Theresa will publish her first Bible study, The Posture of Victory: Finding True Peace amidst Our Everyday Battles. She has also been published in Calla Press Literary Journal, Moms Ezine, (in)courage, and various other publications.

As an adoptive mom and adopted daughter of God, Mary Harker invites her readers to embrace the unconditional love and grace of their Heavenly Father. She is a contributing author in six devotionals, where her heartfelt words inspire others to deepen their faith, and she is a guest contributor to various social media groups, sharing messages of hope and encouragement. Mary is the devoted wife to James and mother to Andrew, her young adult son. In her free time, she finds peace and renewal in nature, enjoys exploring new places through her love of travel, and reading works from her favorite authors.

Nichole is a recovering perfectionist and intentional living strategist. With 30+ years of anxiety disorder as lived experience; Nichole writes and speaks to encourage others to quiet the distraction of anxiety by finding small moments of intention each day. She has been published in Proverbs 31 devotionals, several online magazines, and her newest book, Numbering Our Days: Combating Anxiety in the Power of Small Intentional Moments. Nichole lives in the Midwest with her high school sweetheart husband, Paul, and their three teenage children. She enjoys discovering new hiking paths, curling up with a good mystery novel, and dill pickles with cheddar cheese.
